Privacy policy

Last updated 30 October 2026

Fortuna Digitas, Bosnia and Herzegovina, runs Fadedot and is responsible for the personal data described here. We collect as little as the app needs to work.

Your artwork stays on your computer

Fadedot processes your designs in your browser. Your artwork and the files you export are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. Presets you save stay in your browser or in the folder you choose.

Your license key

Payments and your account with Polar

Polar (polar.sh) sells Fadedot as merchant of record. When you start a trial or subscribe, Polar collects your name, email address, billing address and payment details, and handles them under Polar's privacy policy. We can see your name, email address, country, subscription status and license key in Polar's dashboard. We never see your full card details.

Hosting

The website and app are hosted on Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify processes your IP address and basic request details to deliver the pages and keep the service secure. We host the app's font ourselves, so loading a page sends nothing to Google.

No tracking

We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't sell or share your data for marketing.

Email

If you email us, we use your message and address to answer you. We email subscribers about their subscription and about changes to the price or these policies.

How long we keep data

We keep subscription records for as long as you subscribe and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Support emails are deleted when they are no longer needed.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the EU and UK GDPR, you can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. To make a request, email us.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell subscribers by email.
